Dean Sue's resignation
After five years as Dean of Killala and Rector of Kilmoremoy, Dean Sue has returned to New Zealand to take up the post of senior lecturer and registrar in Bishopdale Theological College in the Diocese of Nelson. The restoration work will continue during the vacancy at the hands of our very able and committed restoration committee. The graveyard conservation work will be carried on by the graveyard restoration group under the supervision of landscape conservation expert, Henry Shaw (see the note on this on the
restoration page).
The organ soundboard will be re-built between Easter and summer (see
restoration).
Cathedral fund-raising opportunities coming up
The Friends of Killala Cathedral will be operating a stall on Heritage Day in Ballina and there is also bag-packing at Dunnes in Ballina booked for early summer. If you would like to support the cathedral by helping with either of these fund-raising projects, please contact the Dean's PA.
Change of Venue
Revd Andrea's ordination to the priesthood on Sunday 27th June will now take place at St Michael's Church, Ballina, at
4 pm
